Let's help rebuild Christchurch

On September 4, 2010, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake rocked the Canterbury region where Christchurch is located. On February 22, 2011, another earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 devastated the same place. The regional earthquake sequence took 185 lives and more than 100,000 residences were damaged. Today, Christchurch is currently rebuilding their city and they are need to double the workforce for a faster and more reliable rebuilding for the next five years.

The Christchurch rebuild is expected to last a decade. New Zealand requires skilled offshore workers to help with the rebuild that's why they also need overseas workers like construction workers, field workers, skilled labourers and the like to complete the workforce.

To answer this dilemma, PNI International has partnered up with Tech5, a recruitment company for the Built Environment. With this partnership, PNI International is now recruiting carpenters, painters, tiling experts, and plasterers to help rebuild the devastated city of Christchurch for the long-term run.

PNI attends the BPO Association Event

Last Monday, July 29, 2013, IBPAP (The Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines) held a General Membership Assembly at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City. Being a member of this association, PNI representatives attended the event.

Among the topics discussed during the event was IBPAP's partnership with CHED (Commission on Higher Education) to encourage the company members to partake on a partnership with several state universities to be able to create established IT courses, scholarships, and funding. There are currently 17 state university participating in this project and 3 companies who've agreed to partner up with these universities.

The event not only helped enlighten the companies with information regarding the CHED project but this event was also a way to perform networking through each other.
